I should be doing MBLG now. Over the moon right now cause I found Dewberry biscuits. DEWBERRY!!! And a pack of Sorini chocs for just 3 bucks omg heaven much??? So walking home hasn't exactly been effective cause I've been to the shops three times in a row now just cause they're on the way but wow today's buy was the best. I mean, dewberry. For a dollar. Beat that. Ok that was the highlight of my week. Happychild is me :)
It's midnight now, which makes it one less day to September :) Been harvesting vegetables and ghosts all my week cause my zen garden is full and it wouldn't let me grow any more. Woke up at 7 in the morning today to harvest my potatoes before they wither. I like these kinda games. Stayed up to watch The Smurfs at 130am last night, friday night tradition renewed. It was kinda cool cause I knew the names of all the smurfs and what they do since I've been playing the game. And ever since the movie we've been talking with the smurf lingo. Went to get groceries in the evening, and a bit of retail therapy. Love Kmart. Managed to catch the Law Revue last Thursday night, was pretty entertaining. Spent four hours in the lab last Friday figuring out spectrophotometry, seriously dread practicals. PLUS my demonstrator stole my pencil. So the next door's throwing a massive party which has unfortunately extended to the corridor so too bad we complained to front desk only cause the drunk dude dared us to do so when we asked him to shut up. Son of a smurf. Last honeymoon weekend before my series of tests begin. Fly time flyyy.
Feels weird staying away from home on National Day. Feels weird not running out to the balcony to see the F16s and fireworks. Feels super weird going to uni on what was supposed to be a public holiday. Cleverly mixed up the days and thought I start at 11 today instead of 9, at least I made it to my second lecture. 3rd week and I've missed 3 chem lectures. Way to go. Had our psych experiment today where we were tested on how -ok they asked me not to tell anyone, experimental bias yknow. Hung out in the Law building with my cousin after classes, shared our travel experiences and all. Planning to go up country in Sri Lanka in December, so gathered a few ideas - where to stay, what to do, which bus ride is bumpy and which is not. Roughly guessed my way and walked to this Sri Lankan & Malaysian cuisine after that to take away heaps of food. Not dodgy place at all, geez. So I was the only one there waiting for my food while the cashier went into the kitchen to cook. Multitasking at its best. I was starving by the time I reached home, so hungry I didn't even have time to sit down to eat my dosai. Watched the NDP live online while snacking on home-made Nachos, yeah yeah I've been eating A LOT lately. Blame the weather. Too much work due in September, not looking good to me. Sends picture of me having nutella on pancakes to Mum & Dad. Mum: Why are you having burnt pancakes? Dad: They're not pancakes, that's steak. -_-
My days have been good cause my roomie's back and it's so good to have her around. Was rushing off to Uni on Wed morning and she literally made me jump when she appeared at my doorstep - and everything feels okay ever since. Got a text at 4 in the morning from her, "are you asleep my love" and I knew she needed me so I got out of bed and watched her cook instant noodles for herself while panicking cause her family was at her boyf's place having the serious marriage talk. Then came a "Congratulations" text from her lover back in her hometown cause it was now official. We stayed up in our beds a little bit more in silence (the good kinda silence) followed by "omg you're gonna MARRY him" and "aww look at the bride blushing". Went to bed with too many thoughts in my head, as a result skipped chem lecture the next morning. It's amusing to hear stories bout my brother taking the auto rickshaw to work everyday and bargaining with the driver. And how he chooses to have the Veg Thali for lunch over the Non-veg cause there's payasam. Still can't believe he's doing this but then again he has always known what he wants. Had my first MBLG lab today, massively overwhelming but awesome demonstrator + awesome lab partner so all's good. Assignments piling up :( Check out the feast I cooked for dinner today :) Yum.yum.yum. Happy Nineteenth, Tharsh raj! :D |
