We watch the season pull up its own stage And catch the last weekend of the last week Before the gold and the glimmer have been replaced Another sun soaked season fades away. |

the only exception
2 Saturdays down, 3 more to go. I fly to and fro like anything.Been spoiling ourselves as usual when it comes to weekends - pancake parties for brekkie, quesadillas for brunch and darling harbour for dinner. Chocolate dipped grapes at midnight cause we ran out of strawberries. My first Holi the other day, and I didn't manage to get the colours off my shirt till yesterday. But it was all good fun, and the weather's been a blessing. The kids at home, they know me too well to take a bet if I'd go for my morning class today, but guess who proved them wrong heheh. I attend the class anyway cause I love my Mondays. The past 2 weeks have been insane otherwise. It's funny how you go to the pracs and fiddle with this blob of gooey stuff called the brain, but you never realise how complex it could get till you try understanding neuroanatomy. One good thing though is that I don't have tutes this sem, so I've used those extra hours to redecorate my room. Mental note to get the fairy lights from Typo. I'm running out of things to say so I'm gonna get my clothes from the dryer and read some Coben :) Midnight in paris
The 3 odd months flew. Like always. So much has happened in my absence, but things like the size of my crib and the weather in the city never changes. As tiny and unpredictable as ever.Caught up with the good old buddy after 2 years for some pancakes over my last week back home. Spent the rest of the day looking for cute stuff to decorate my room with and checking out new bakeries. Swiss chocolate fondue, bowling and fei fei wanton mee with the girlies, too bad we didn't get time for Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. Strange how just last thursday we were happy like small kids playing in the waters of East Coast beach, sharing cupcakes and blowing bubbles. If not for the rain, we would have had our nice candle lit surprise picnic by the sunset. Was perfect anyway :) Second day into a brand new year of study, and already feeling overwhelmed by the workload. But I'm enjoying my first week while it lasts cause most of the practicals don't begin till the next. First proper histology & anatomy lectures today, couldn't resist the urge to share my drawings of the brain with all at home. Hoping that playing Draw Something would improve my art skills. Everyone at home sleeps by 10. Oh dear. |
