We watch the season pull up its own stage And catch the last weekend of the last week Before the gold and the glimmer have been replaced Another sun soaked season fades away. |

Australia 20 to 25 December 2007 20 December We arrived at Melbourne in the morning. Gosshhh, you call it summer? Bloody hell, I almost froze there. So we stayed at my cousin's place for just a day. It's a very cute, cosy little house. I liked it so much. We had a BBQ lunch and then a few visits to my relative's places. Ohh, there was this sudden, heavy, very heavy downpour. We were almost swimming in the streets (No exaggerartion). Then dinner out to a very far place with family friends. And they kept talking about the silly magic tricks I used to show them. And then somebody said I was having a bad hair day. Damn. We went to Downtown at like, 12midnight. Yeah, crazy. That night, I slept all alone on a fold-out in the living room. And I think I turned into ice that night.
We flew to Sydney in the afternoon. Again, cold. We stayed at my Aunt's and Uncle's place there. So, even before we could settle in, we had guests arriving to you know, say hi. I dont even remeber them please. Like when last did I go? When I was six? And the funny thing is that they expect me to recognize them. "Hi Dhanya. Do you remember me?" "Oh yes, ofcourse", I lie. Inside I'm like, who on earth are you?! Then my second cousins came over for dinner and we all played alot because the loser had to take home the leftovers. I talked till about two at night, then slept till three the next day.
Oh right. This was the most important day. The party. Whoooooo! So I volunteered to help out in the kitchen and I cut my finger when slicing the cashews. Great. We finished cooking at about six in the evening and guests began arriving at seven (when we told them seven thirty). Welllll, it was good. Excellent. Honestly, I didnt know half of the people there, but it didnt matter. It was more like a second cousins gathering. It was the first time I saw most of them. It was slightly awkward at first, but then we all really got along well and had the most fun-niest game of Monopoly. Seriously, I had the best time of my life. Whoa.
Woke up at eight in the morning to do shopppinggggg. (Big grins) We went to Castle Towers, supposedly the hugest shopping complex or something. Okay, so it was massive. Now I know what exactly you mean by 'shop till you drop'. Yeah then we did more visiting and had dinner out to some north indian restaurant. Later we drove around to see the christmas lightings at the houses. They are sooo prettttyyy. Really. I wanted to kill myself for forgetting the camera. 24 December Oh God. I forgot what I did. Oh yes, okay, I remember. So we had breakfast at my relative's place and then we rushed to Castle Towers again to buy boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts to bring back home. Let me get this clear. Krispy Kreme donuts are the best damn thing ever. Ever ever ever. Anywayyy, we spent the night at my cousin's place for christmas eve. Too bad, we didnt see Santa. Oh, it was a confession night. Bro and I stayed up till four in the morning, confessing. Oh well. 25 December HO! HO! HO! So we packed our things, said goodbye, and left ))): On the brighter side, I'm back home (((: So christmas day was spent in Australia and Singapore, but mostly in the damn plane. Labels: Australia. |
